Ready-to-use cards
Every word arrives finished: a translation, example sentences with their translations, a picture and its forms. You never make a card. You learn.
English, Estonian, Spanish, French and Chinese today, in your browser on any phone or computer.
Every word arrives finished: a translation, example sentences with their translations, a picture and its forms. You never make a card. You learn.
Pick the word or its picture, spell it from tiles or fill in the missing letters, swipe to say whether you knew it, then match words to meanings at the end of a session. Each card asks in the way that suits how well you know the word.
Send a friend a link, see the sessions they finish and the words they learn, and compare your week on a leaderboard.
Your CEFR level, the words you know, and the date you reach the next level at the pace you choose: set how many cards a session holds, or let it match how many you finish.
Earned by remembering, never by just showing up: words learned, each new level, days in a row, a session without a miss, a word still known after two months. Rather just learn? Achievements, friends and the games each switch off in settings.
One card at a time, and each card changes as you learn.
A new word starts with its hardest question. You are not expected to know it yet, and it is kept apart from the words it is most often confused with.
Miss it, and the next card is easier: choose from options, or build the word from letters.
Get it right, and the card gets harder again, until you recall the word from its meaning alone.
Spaced repetition brings each word back just before you would forget it: in minutes, then days, then months.
Photograph a page, a menu or a sign, keep the words you want, and they join your cards.
Know some words already? A four-minute yes-or-no check, or a test that closes in on your level, says roughly how many words you know and starts you there.
Tap once on a card that looks wrong: AI says what was off and makes the card again in seconds.
The app speaks 54 languages. Every translation and example is written in yours, and when a word of yours looks like the new one but means something else, the card says so.
Once you know a word, its other, unrelated meanings come back as cards of their own.
Keep missing a noun or an adjective, and the answer comes with a word of your language that sounds like it, and one vivid sentence that ties the two.
Word forms, sounds and everything that goes with a word, as each language needs them.
